About
Aerzeit is an independent project built by Samuel Harrold, based in Indianapolis, Indiana. It's a demonstration of privacy-first, GDPR-compliance-first application engineering — built to show what an app looks like when privacy is a design constraint from the first commit, not a policy applied afterward.
Why this exists
Most privacy claims ask you to trust the publisher. Aerzeit is built so that its two core privacy commitments — an empty iOS Privacy Manifest and a compliance-only-updates pledge — are things you can check, not things you have to take on faith. See Compliance for the specifics.
What it doesn't model
Aerzeit reports outdoor conditions. It doesn't model your room's thermal mass, your HVAC system, or your indoor air quality — you already know your own house better than any app could guess.
A planned public release
A cleaned version of Aerzeit's source code is planned for a public release as a functional demo of the engineering approach, pending final review. Until then, this site and the app itself are the demonstration.
Support
Something not working, or feedback on how Aerzeit behaves? Email support@aerzeit.app — every message is read. The most useful reports include what you expected versus what happened, your device and iOS version, and a screenshot if the issue is visual.
